London Country South East was renamed Kentish Bus & Coach in April 1987. It was subsequently sold in March 1988 to the Proudmutual Group (also owners of Northumbria). Kentish Bus & Coach was bought by British Bus in 1994. Arriva's current operations are known as "Arriva Kent Thameside" (part) and "Arriva Kent & Sussex" (part). Vehicles currently operate from garages at Northfleet, Dartford, Maidstone, Tenterden and Royal Tunbridge Wells. (Note: Arriva also operates in Kent from Maidstone, Medway Towns and as New Enterprise from Tonbridge).
